Magellan Jets has updated its One-Way Leg iPhone app into the more capable Private Jet Search product. The new app lets users search for charter flights, view pricing, book the flight and sign the contract.

A charter broker since 2008, Boston-based Magellan Jets, a Wyvern authorized broker, links the Private Jet Search app into live charter market information. The $4.99 app can be used to search for one-way and roundtrip flights using the planned passenger count, and it can obtain quotes for departure/return date, almost any aircraft type and worldwide airports. The results list includes available aircraft, flight time, fuel stops and pricing information as well as interior and exterior photos of the aircraft. The app uses the DocuSign electronic signature and electronic contract execution process to allow users to sign charter contracts on the iPhone’s touchscreen. Magellan emails the contract for the user to sign.

Users can also send a personal request to a Magellan Jets charter specialist. Private Jet Search can be used anywhere in the world and includes a currency converter. The app uses the iPhone’s built-in GPS to display nearby airports, and the trip is displayed on Google Maps. Other features include a favorite-airports list and a tip-a-friend function, which allows the user to notify a friend who can then view the same aircraft.
