Jet Services Takes Over Le Bourget’s Darta

Jet Services, a company active in the French business aviation industry since 2009, has taken control of Darta, a 40-year-old executive air charter operator based at Paris Le Bourget Airport. The firm, belonging to the Ségur private equity group, bought 90 percent of Darta’s shares in late December, according to Jet Services and Ségur president Marie-Antoinette Dain. The move was announced this week. Dain told AIN that Darta’s current fleet of 10 business aircraft will soon expand. Two more Dassault Falcon 50s are to be added, for a total of five of the trijets, and one Falcon 10 will join the existing two. A further two Falcon 900s are also planned to join the fleet, and “we are considering adding a Falcon 7X and light jets such as Citation Mustangs,” Dain said. Darta’s fleet of turboprops–five Beechcraft King Air 90s and 200s–will stay unchanged. The charter firm will also benefit from a new FBO. The building, Dain said, will be able to house bizliners such as BBJs and ACJs. Jet Services has bought the entire Darta group, including handling and broker activities.
