Timco Aerosystems has opened a new 120,000-sq-ft aircraft interiors manufacturing facility in Wallburg, N.C., near its Greensboro headquarters. The facility adds capacity to Timco’s existing seat manufacturing operations in Pacoima, Calif., where it assembles its FeatherWeight series of seats. Timco Aerosystems, part of Timco Aviation Services, provides design engineering; interiors products, including the FeatherWeight line of galleys, lavatories and seating; and integration project management and certification services under its FAA ODA authority. Kevin Carter, the company’s CEO, said, “This is a proud day for Timco and our Timco Aerosystems interior business. As we face increasing demand for our lightweight products, this new facility ensures we will be able to continue to serve our existing customers while delivering to new customers from around the world. This day would not have been possible without the extraordinary partnership we have with state, regional and local officials who recognized early the economic value this new facility represents.”
