Germanwings and Lufthansa Technik have signed a contract for technical services to support the airline’s fleet of 30 Airbus A319s. The contract includes a Lufthansa Technik fleet manager based at the airline’s headquarters in Cologne, Germany, who will act as the single point of contact for all operational issues. Additionally, the two companies have agreed to integrate the existing contracts for maintenance, repair and overhaul services, engineering services, engines, landing gears and components under one perennial contract and are in talks to add further services.
