ACI Jet Solutions has finished construction of a 150,000-sq-ft ramp and 34,000-sq-ft maintenance facility at California’s San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. The facility is more than four times the size of the company’s current hangar. According to the company, the eco-friendly building is designed to support the expansion of services to be offered to the growing corporate aviation market on the central coast and the southwest U.S. “The new facility is an integral part of our growing maintenance division,” said Bill Borgsmiller, ACI president and CEO. “We are looking forward to expanding our reach by marketing maintenance services to a variety of jet aircraft throughout the region,” he added. The FAR Part 145 repair station offers light to heavy maintenance and major repairs and modifications on Citations and other aircraft weighing less than 12,500 pounds. ACI Jet Solutions designed its new facility to include energy-efficient elements. Sustainable features include numerous technologies that use ambient lighting and natural airflow to minimize the amount of power necessary to light, heat and cool the building
