Bombardier Aerospace is opening its first regional support office (RSO) in Latin America. Located in São Paulo, Brazil, it will be next to the company’s existing parts depot and authorized service facility at OceanAir Táxi Aéreo. It will be staffed with Bombardier Business Aircraft employees, including an RSO manager, a field service representative and a customer service account manager. Additional staff will be added next year. According to the company, the new RSO will bolster support in Latin America in light of current and anticipated regional growth. Andy Nureddin, vice president of customer services and support for Bombardier Business Aircraft, told AIN, “The Latin American business jet market has experienced dynamic and steady growth. Our most recent market forecast issued in May 2011 predicts that Latin America is to take delivery of 2,125 business jets during the period from 2011 to 2030, with 925 aircraft between 2011 and 2020 and 1,200 deliveries between 2020 and 2030. The 2010 fleet of 1,400 business jets will grow to 2,735 aircraft in 2030, an [annual] growth of approximately three percent. Brazil’s economy is experiencing strong growth and is preparing for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics.”
