Miami Wheel and Brake Facility Expanded by AAR
AAR has expanded its Miami aircraft wheel and brake services facility.

AAR has expanded its Miami aircraft wheel and brake services facility. The new 12,500-sq-ft facility is an extension of AAR Landing Gear Services, which has operated in the greater Miami area since 1987. AAR Wheel and Brake Services offers commercial, military and regional aviation customers’ aircraft wheel and brake services, including repair, rebuilding and inspection for all major aircraft types. According to the company, its testing and certification process ensures locating hairline fractures and other nonvisible stress defects to prevent damage or an adverse safety condition. “The opening of this new facility demonstrates AAR’s continued commitment to expanding our capabilities and [building] the business. I’m proud of our team in Miami and am hopeful that this facility will continue to create aviation jobs in the area,” said Pastor Lopez, general manager of AAR Landing Gear Services. “We’ve [built] our wheel and brake services business from fewer than ten employees only a year ago to 30 employees today. With this new facility we are well positioned to pursue new business opportunities in the aviation industry.”
