Jet Aviation Sorocaba received approval to operate a bonded warehouse (a facility that holds goods awaiting duty or tax to be paid on them). According to the company, using a bonded warehouse will allow Jet Aviation to clear aircraft parts through customs 24 hours a day, enhancing its ability to support aircraft owners and operators in the region. The 3,000-sq-ft warehouse has around-the-clock security surveillance and is located at the company’s maintenance and FBO operation in Sorocaba, Brazil, approximately 50 miles from the center of São Paulo. “This approval helps us to better meet the growing parts support requirements of our customers by enabling provision of 24/7 customs clearance,” said Norbert Ehrich, senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s Sorocaba facility. Jet Aviation Sorocaba was established in 2009 and is an ANAC-approved repair station for the Gulfstream G200/IV/G500/G550. The facility provides aircraft maintenance services, performs ground handling services, including aircraft cleaning, and has a passenger and pilot lounge.
