Nearly 1,200 AIN readers responded to this year’s AIN Product Support Survey, again choosing Gulfstream Aerospace’s large-cabin jets as tops in aftermarket service for newer and older aircraft combined, with an 8.01 overall average. Cessna took second place with a rating of 7.87, the same position it held last year, followed by Gulfstream mid-cabin jets at 7.86. In the combined turboprops category, Mitsubishi’s MU-2 scored the highest of any manufacturer in any category, with a 9.43. Pilatus received enough ratings to be included this year, with a second-place rating of 7.94, followed by Hawker Beechcraft King Airs in third place at 6.98. The rotorcraft rankings saw Bell Helicopter remaining at the top with a rating of 7.49, followed by second-place Sikorsky at 6.79 and Eurocopter in third place with a rating of 6.76. Participants in this year’s AIN Product Support Survey were entered in a drawing for 10 Apple iPads loaded with the APG WB runway analysis and weight and balance application, LogTen’s digital logbook and Hilton Software’s WingX moving map and charts app.
