Everett, Wash.-based AeroMech announced its new AMI Aviation Services has established FAA-certified repair stations on Orlando Sanford International Airport in Sanford, Fla., and on Gillespie Field in San Diego. Sanford is also an FAA-approved PMA facility. “AeroMech has been waiting for the right opportunity to integrate our engineering and FAA STC ODA certification services with fabrication and repair station capabilities. With the addition of AMI Aviation, we can now offer our aircraft engineering and certification services together with avionics installations, modifications, harness fabrication and PMA in one location, or even remotely anywhere in the world,” said Dave Doucette, v-p for business development. According to Doucette, AMI Aviation’s repair station operating specifications allow the installation and repair of avionics systems in any make or model of fixed or rotary-wing aircraft with no geographic limitation. AeroMech owns and maintains more than 140 STCs for avionics modifications and RVSM certification. Each month, approximately 50 aircraft are delivered from OEMs with AeroMech engineering solutions on board.
