Austrian light jet charter operator GlobeAir (Stand 2231) has undergone a major fleet expansion to become the world’s largest fleet operator of Cessna Citation Mustangs. The company has also been awarded with both Wyvern and IS-BAO certification.
“For months the GlobeAir team has been working very hard to ensure a smooth and efficient entry into service of our five new aircraft,” said CEO Bernhard Fragner. “We have doubled nearly everything: office team, crew, sales network, technical support and other infrastructure, like the IT system.”
Fragner said his vision is to operate five flights a day between Geneva and Paris for less than €500 ($706) per passenger. Hinting at expansion into other regions, he added, “This is a volume game; by 2015 we want at least 20 aircraft and our main market will be in Europe.”
GlobeAir reckons it holds 25 percent of the European market share of commercial movements in its peer group of light jets (that is, Mustangs, Embraer Phenom 100s, Eclipse 500s, and the Citation CJ1+).
