Shanghai To Host Bombardier Safety Standdown

Bombardier Aerospace will be offering the Safety Standdown program in Asia. The company is taking reservations for a June 9 event at Le Royal Meridien in Shanghai, China. “With the high number of business jets being delivered in the region we felt holding the Safety Standdown there would greatly benefit operators in Asia,” David Dixon, Bombardier Business Aircraft regional v-p of Asia-Pacific sales, , told AIN. According to Dixon, the Safety Standdown provides pilots, aircrew and flight departments with insight into the factors that precipitate errors in judgment and highlights ways to mitigate them. Safety Standdown is free to all operators, flight crews and aircraft maintenance personnel regardless of the type of aircraft they operate. All program materials and lunches are included, along with a certificate of completion. Bombardier typically holds three Safety Standdowns a year. This year a two-day program including one day of workshops will be held in São Paulo, Brazil (August 9 and 10) and a four-day program with extensive workshops is slated for Wichita (October 24 through 27).
