FBO chain Signature Flight Support, with 103 facilities around the world, is interested in opening a Middle East FBO, said Steve Gulvin, regional vice president Europe and Middle East, "but we've decided conditions have to be right." Signature is exhibiting at MEBA for the third time and each time its presence at this show and also the biennial Dubai Airshow has grown.

Opening a Middle East FBO requires the right location and the right partner, Gulvin explained, and frequently either one of those attributes is available but not both at the same time. "We really want to understand the market and [potential] partners before we do anything," he said. Signature, which is part of the publicly listed BBA group, does have the resources to expand in the Middle East, he added.
