Greenwich AeroGroup’s Western Aircraft and Universal Avionics announced a partnership last month at the NBAA Convention to develop an avionics retrofit package for the Dassault Falcon 900B. The cockpit upgrade will replace 25 older instruments, improving reliability and situational awareness while reducing downtime. The suite will have five high-resolution Universal EFI-890R LED backlit
LCD displays, including an engine indication unit that replaces analog instruments. A Universal UNS-1Fw flight management system will provide Waas/SBAS/LPV capabilities upon initial STC approval in the middle of next year. Other suite options include items such as Universal’s Vision-1 synthetic vision, single- or dual-side charts and graphical weather, as well as capability for video, checklists and more.
