Port City Air will renovate and manage multiple hangars at Portsmouth International Airport at Pease, the former Pease Air Force Base Strategic Air Command facility in Portsmouth, N.H. Port City Air also operates fixed-wing and rotorcraft maintenance and avionics services. So far, Port City Air has renovated three of four hangars, now heated and ready for immediate occupancy, and prices are “at an attractive price not typically offered at most Northeast locations,” according to the FBO.
Port City Air is investing more than $2 million in capital improvements during the next two years, including hangar upgrades and a larger fuel farm. The hangars are all large enough to accommodate several aircraft; office, maintenance and storage space is also available. Portsmouth International has an 11,321-foot-long runway and is an ideal tech stop for transatlantic flights with U.S. Customs available 24/7. Port City Air started as a maintenance facility in 1995, opened an FBO in June 2003 and purchased New Hampshire Helicopters later that year.
