Airflite and Piaggio Aero have signed an agreement to qualify and approve Singapore-based AirFlite Asia as an OEM-appointed maintenance provider for the Piaggio Aero Avanti/II in the Asia-Pacific region. Under the terms of the agreement the company will provide maintenance, repairs and overhaul services as well as spare parts. It is also home to Piaggio Aero’s Southeast Asian sales center, Kirkwall. According to Piaggio Aero, the appointment reflects its continued expansion and commitment to the Southeast Asia region. “This appointment underlines Piaggio Aero’s commitment to customer service. Our customers need a service center network that can assist them in the management of their aircraft’s day-to-day maintenance,” said Paolo Ferreri, Piaggio Aero’s vice president for customer support. He said the choice of location was partly a result of the company’s “high quality workmanship” and Singapore’s ideal geographic location for supporting owners and operators in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Thailand and Vietnam.
