The court overseeing the attempt by the City of Santa Monica, Calif., to
ban Category C and D jets from Santa Monica Airport has set a schedule for briefings by interested parties. The city appealed the FAA’s decision that the ban isn’t legal with the U.S Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. NBAA and AOPA have been authorized as amicus curiae (friends of the court) and are scheduled to submit briefings on June 4 and 21, respectively. The City of Santa Monica’s brief is due April 5.
