Hawker Beechcraft King Air B200, Greer, S.C., Nov. 9, 2009–The King Air was substantially damaged after it lost engine power and crashed short of the runway at Greenville Spartanburg International Airport. The twin turboprop was in Greer for a maintenance inspection. Following a ground engine run, the aircraft was taken for a flight in the local traffic pattern. Before the accident, the pilot reported he was low on fuel but did not declare an emergency. Inspection of the wreckage revealed less than one gallon of fuel remaining. The pilot and two passengers suffered serious injuries in the crash.
