West Star Aviation has expanded its maintenance service business into the southeast U.S.

West Star Aviation has expanded its maintenance service business into the southeast U.S. with the addition of West Star Aviation Columbia, S.C. (CAE). The new facility will offer airframe, engine and avionics services for business aircraft beginning in next year’s first quarter. Initially, West Star Aviation will offer services for turbine aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of less than 12,500 pounds. The new facility is also an FAA-certified Part 145 repair station. West Star has appointed Bill Holecek as service manager. Once fully developed, the new facility is expected to add more than 100 new jobs to the South Carolina aviation industry. “We look forward to supporting and stimulating growth and adding jobs to the area,” said Michael Durst, West Star’s executive vice president.
