SimCom Adds Mitsubishi MU-2 Maintenance Training
SimCom Training Centers is now offering a week-long maintenance training course for the MU-2 turboprop, to be held at MU-2 service centers in the U.S.

SimCom Training Centers is now offering a week-long maintenance training course for the MU-2 turboprop, to be held at MU-2 service centers in the U.S. twice a year. Two classes have already been held this year, and the next is scheduled for spring 2010 at a location to be determined. Training at the service centers allows instructors to combine classroom sessions with hands-on instruction and demonstrations in the service center. The classroom training uses SimCom’s graphics, animation software and videos as well as MU-2 parts, maintenance manuals and Mitsubishi’s Aircraft Inspection and Maintenance Requirements Manual. MU-2 program coordinator Jim Treadwell is the course instructor and facilitator, and MU-2 service center technicians and representatives from MU-2 support company Turbine Aircraft Services provide additional support. Treadwell has been teaching at SimCom for 10 years and holds an A&P with inspection authorization, and he is an ATP with more than 23,000 hours.
