The latest data from Charter X and Avinode paints conflicting pictures of the fortunes of the executive charter market over the past month. Avinode’s demand index for November 1 dipped below 60, having stood at 69.1 just 30 days earlier. Over the same period, Avinode’s average price index showed a slight fall of less than 1 percent to 92.86. By contrast, the Charter X log of actual flight hours during October showed light and heavy jet activity both up by 14 percent (at 15,955 and 8,193 hours respectively), while midsize aircraft increased their flying by 19.5 percent at 14,203 hours.
