Fokker Aircraft Services has signed an agreement with Maastricht Aviation Aircraft Services (MAAS) to operate the Fokker paint hangar maintenance facility located at Woensdrecht in the Netherlands. Edwin Schelling, president of Fokker Aircraft Services, said the decision for the MRO to add a paint shop was based on customer feedback. “MAAS is an experienced aircraft painting company and will be a valuable asset and partner for Fokker Aircraft Services as we continue to expand our business,” he said. “The most significant advantage to our customers is the reduction in downtime and eliminating non-revenue flights by being able to have both maintenance and paint done at the same time.” In addition to working on its own line of aircraft, Fokker also serves the Boeing 737, A320 and CRJ700 fleets.
