St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport in Switzerland is building a new terminal to serve the European business aviation market. To be completed within two years, the facility will add office space at the airport, including executive suites, and provide security screening facilities that meet the requirements of the Schengen Treaty, which Switzerland has signed.
“We will soon have a top-of-the-line airport facility to service our continuously growing business aviation segment, the four daily scheduled flights to Vienna, as well as a new additional destination,” said Armin Unternaehrer, St. Gallen Airport’s CEO. “We are preparing for future developments as we can see signs that the current slowdown has bottomed out.”
