Business aircraft flight activity continued a near straight line trend last month, according to TRAQPak data from specialized aviation services company Aviation Research Group/U.S. (ARG/US). Flight activity last month closely followed May’s levels, though with a slight decline of 1.45 percent. Business aircraft flight activity last month dropped 16.8 percent year-over-year, with large-cabin aircraft leading the losses at -31.7 percent. ARG/US estimates that flight activity has dropped an average of 0.87 percent per month over the past 12 months. Comparing the June-to-June period, the following segments all recorded less activity: turboprops, -6.1 percent; light jets, -21.5 percent; midsize jets, -16.1 percent; and large-cabin jets, -31.7 percent. By operator type, Part 91 business aircraft traffic fell 13.4 percent; Part 135, -18.2 percent; fractional, -26 percent. The only gain recorded was by fractional turboprop activity, which was up 2.6 percent.
