Bell 206L-4 LongRanger, Moundridge, Kan., March 8, 2009–The commercial pilot, the only occupant, was killed when the LongRanger crashed into a wheat field after a nearby resident heard the helicopter’s “engine rev to a high rpm” twice followed by two to three “thump” or “hump” sounds.
