According to John Martin, v-p and general manager of the DeCrane Aerospace Pats Aircraft Completion division, the Georgetown, Del.-based center has chosen to change its interior completion strategy and is no longer soliciting Boeing Business Jet interior completion work.
“We need to increase our focus and attention and resources on what I consider core competencies,” said Martin. Among those are fuel system programs and in particular auxiliary fuel tank system installation on BBJs and “serial completion” work on narrow-body green aircraft. As part of that effort, Pats delivered its first Lineage 1000 executive completion to manufacturer Embraer in December.
Pats has contracted with Embraer to do the interior completion work on another 35 executive versions of Embraer’s E190 airliner.
