Nextant Aviation subsidiary Constant Aviation finished a 41,000-foot modification and 48-month inspection on a China-based Embraer Legacy 600. “This is the first 41,000-foot modification completed outside Embraer’s manufacturing production facility,” the company said. The modification allows the Legacy 600 to fly at much more efficient high altitudes in China. The 48-month inspection conducted on the Chinese customer’s Legacy 600 is Constant Aviation’s 15th, and the company has logged more than 750,000 maintenance man-hours on the Embraer ERJ 135/Legacy 600 series so far. Constant Aviation is based at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Ohio and Birmingham International Airport in Alabama. The company holds Class 3 and 4 airframe and Class 1, 2 and 3 radio repair station ratings. Constant parent Nextant Aerospace is developing the Beechjet 400NEXT modification, replacing the original Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-5 engines with Williams International FJ44-3APs with dual Fadecs and a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite.
