Universal Weather & Aviation has released a new version of the online UVflightplanner.com service with improved functionality. Users can now accomplish multiple tasks from one window without having to exit to another application. “For instance,” said Randy Stephens, senior director of specialty products, “you can get a fuel quote, schedule handling at one of our Universal Aviation ground services locations, view UVTripPlanner airport data, view weather maps and see leg requirements all from within one window.” When the user enters destination airport ICAO codes, the system displays weather and airport information automatically in one window. Clients can now also select a flight plan from a stored route or generate a new route. Other new features include runway analysis, route plotting via MapQuest, time conversion, access to alternate airport weather and Notam information and limited flight cost analysis displaying Navtech navigation fees.
