The European Aviation Safety Agency has completed ETSO-C113

certification of Barco’s new CDMS-3000 control display unit. The Belgium-based flight display specialist is close to confirming an application for the new product in the regional airliner market.

The CDMS-3000 is the new-generation version of Barco’s existing control display and management system family, and it has already been selected for aircraft such as Sikorsky’s new S-76D and versions of the Lockheed Martin C-130 military transport operated by the French air force. The Arinc-739-based CDMS-3739 version will be used for civil aircraft applications.

“The new CDMS-3000 introduces a full set of operational benefits to both the integrators and end users, including exceptional brightness and contrast, compact dimensions, light weight and excellent energy efficiency,” said Yves Vanhauwaert, general manager of Barco’s avionics division. The new displays feature Barco’s MOSArt open architecture platform, which makes it easier to customize and upgrade avionics applications. They are available with different sizes of keyboard and with various engravings and colors.
