Safe Flight Instrument Corp. (Booth No. 5194) of White Plains, N.Y., has supported the Corporate Angel Network (CAN) since its founding in 1981 and even made the first CAN flight, bringing a 16-year-old boy home to Detroit after a cancer treatment in New York City. This year Safe Flight is donating $50,000 to CAN (exhibiting in South Lobby 7), while continuing to fly cancer patients on company business trips. Said Randall Greene, Safe Flight president and CEO, “Safe Flight is happy to be able to support cancer patients in their efforts to access the best available treatment.” A public charity, CAN arranges flights for cancer patients needing treatment by coordinating empty seats on business aircraft. More than 500 corporations participate and CAN has arranged nearly 30,000 flights since it began. It now arranges about 3,000 flights each year.
