Threshold Aviation Group of Chino, Calif., recently completed structural repairs to the rear belly skin and bulkhead of a Citation 650. According to the company, the project was coordinated with engineering support from Cessna. The damaged zone was disassembled, inspected and repaired in accordance with factory specifications in record time and the aircraft also received Phase I through V inspection.

While the aircraft was in repair the company refurbished the cockpit, adding an Iridium phone and XM Radio Nexrad WX GMX 200. The interior was also completely removed and a newly designed Citation VII-style interior installed with an entertainment system consisting of a DVD/CD/MP3 player, two Rosen monitors, a bulkhead monitor and an iPod and iPod docking station.

Threshold was also recently retained to acquire a GII-SP for a client and deliver it refurbished within 60 days. The company sourced, selected, inspected and purchased a late-serial-number GII and delivered it to its maintenance and completion center. Once the airplane was in the hangar, Threshold removed and replaced the left engine for mid-life inspection, installed Quiet Technologies hush kits, overhauled the landing gear, removed and replaced the horizontal stabilizer for inspection, overhauled the thrust reversers and repainted more than half the fuselage.

Interior refurbishment consisted of crew seats, carpeting, woodwork, cabinetry interiors, headliner, baggage compartment, complete cockpit refurbishment and custom entryway. Threshold says it delivered the airplane on time and budget.
