EUROCOPTER EC 120B, BOONVILLE, MO., JUNE 25, 2003–Eurocopter N298HS was destroyed when it crashed at about 10:45 p.m. CDT under unknown circumstances shortly after takeoff from Boonville. One person on board was killed. It was not reported if there were others on board the aircraft, which was destined for Lake Ozark, Mo. The weather at the time of the accident was wind 350 degrees at eight knots, gusting to 18; three-quarter-mile visibility; heavy thunderstorms with rain and mist; broken clouds at 300 and 900 feet, overcast at 3,100 feet; temperature 22 degrees C, dew point 21 degrees C; and altimeter 29.98 inches.
