In the wake of last winter’s corporate turbulence, Enstrom Helicopter president Peter Parsinen has appointed executives to several key positions to continue to guide Enstrom during what he hopes will be a period of growth and improvement. Tracy Biegler has been appointed sales and proposal director. Biegler comes from Boeing Commercial Airplane’s flight-test department in Seattle, where he managed several engineering groups. Enstrom is focusing on Latin American and Caribbean sales by placing Scott Parsinen in charge of the region as sales director. An industry sales executive with more than 12 years in business aviation, Parsinen will be assisted in Colombia, Venezuela and the Caribbean by Guillermo Basalo of Caracas-based aviation company Helinautica. Basalo will coordinate efforts in the local dealer network. This arrangement augments Enstrom’s efforts in the Pacific Rim, where Cyrus Pitt leads Taipei-based Enstrom Asia. Pitt manages Enstrom’s network of dealers and representatives for sales in that region. The new nominations follow the sudden firing of former company president Steve Daniels earlier this year when his ambitious plans to revitalize Enstrom’s market position in the helicopter world evidently rubbed the financial backers of the boutique rotorcrafter the wrong way.
