Organizationally troubled Sentient Flight Group will be undergoing a restructuring, only a few weeks after the Weymouth, Mass.-based charter operator and management firm announced that company chairman Gregory Campbell would be replacing Steve Hankin as CEO. In a company-wide e-mail sent this week, Campbell told employees that the charter and aircraft management divisions will be combined into one division and will be led by Jake Cartwright, former president and CEO of TAG Aviation USA. Cartwright currently heads the aircraft management division. Recent acquisitions and an attempt to combine accounting into one unit has led to billing and payment problems. A Sentient employee would not disclose the specific amount owed to charter vendors and suppliers but said that the latest round of investor funding “is sufficient to make the necessary payments” and added that the company is “working on a plan to pay the vendors.”
