A familiar name moved up at Bombardier Aerospace in October when Pierre Beaudoin replaced Michael Graff as president and COO.

Pierre Beaudoin is the son of Laurent Beaudoin, former chairman and CEO and current chairman of the board of the executive committee of Bombardier Aerospace. Before his current appointment, Beaudoin was president and COO of Bombardier Recreational Products for five years and, more recently, president of the business aircraft division.

As COO, Pierre Beaudoin is responsible for all operations and product divisions of a company that is the world’s third largest civil aircraft manufacturer with annual revenues of $6.4 billion.

Graff, who left “to pursue other interests in the United States,” remained as advisor to the new president until the end of the year.

Graff joined Bombardier in June 1996 as president of Bombardier Aerospace Business Aircraft and assumed the position of president and COO of Bombardier Aerospace in February 1999.

It was during Graff’s tenure with the business aircraft division that the Global Express and Learjet 45 received certification. He was also involved in the creation of the company’s Flexjet fractional ownership program and with such major expansion projects as the new completion center in Montreal and growth of the completion facilities in Tucson, Ariz., and Wichita.
