Honeywell said here at EBACE that an in-flight messaging service for Wi-Fi-compatible BlackBerrys it launched recently is now available as part of its OneLink cabin service. The offering can configure Inmarsat Swift64 and SwiftBroadband satcom and router equipment to enable e-mail messaging in flight. The system can be configured for general access by all passengers or for secure access by designated passengers. Although the service is always active after takeoff, users pay only for the data they send and receive. Honeywell said it will announce hardware and service pricing in
the third quarter.
