The former Delta Air Lines terminal at Louisville (Ky.), International Airport is now home to a dedicated U.S. Customs office. Arriving international corporate flights can now taxi directly to customs rather than having passengers wait inside the aircraft while parked on the FBO ramp until customs officials arrive. Jim DeLong, airport general manager, said, “Having Customs on the airport speeds processing for UPS, the airport’s largest international shipper; for the Kentucky Air National Guard, which flies numerous international missions; for corporate and passenger jets flying international routes; and for area freight forwarders.”
