HondaJet Midwest distributor Des Moines Flying Service plans to open a 5,000-sq-ft showroom and maintenance center at the Aurora (Ill.) Airport in July 2010 for the Honda-built very light jet. The Aurora facility, one of five HondaJet dealerships in North America, will serve 12 Midwestern states. Meanwhile, Honda Aircraft has expanded its sales organization for the HondaJet by appointing Servicios Aéreos Estrella, an FBO located at Mexico City Toluca International Airport, a retail sales and service representative for Mexico. The company also announced its first fractional booking, with an order for 10 aircraft to be delivered to Toluca, Mexico-based AerolÃneas Ejecutivas starting in 2012. The HondaJet is scheduled for FAA certification next year.
