Jet Aviation honors American heroes
Pilots and other crewmembers visiting Jet Aviation’s four U.S.

Pilots and other crewmembers visiting Jet Aviation’s four U.S. facilities through December 15 are eligible to sign up for a dose of sobering humility. The FBO chain is giving away copies of the $40 coffee table book Medal of Honor: Portraits of Valor Beyond the Call of Duty by Nick Del Calzo and Peter Collier. Featuring a forward by former President George H. Bush and essays by Tom Brokaw and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the book profiles the actions of 116 winners of the Congressional Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest award for bravery. The hardcover book includes text by Collier, with striking recent black-and-white photographs by Del Calzo of the medal winners. Period photos of them at the time they served are also included. The action depicted represents three wars–World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The stories are awe-inspiring and invariably lead the reader to question how he or she would have performed under the circumstances. As Collier wrote in the dust-jacket notes, “Nobody signs up to win the Medal of Honor. You earn it at the intersection of happenstance and hell.”

Crewmembers visiting Jet Aviation facilities in Bedford, Mass. (BED); Dallas (DAL); Teterboro, N.J. (TEB); and West Palm Beach, Fla. (PBI) are eligible to sign up for the book, which will be mailed. Supplies are limited.
