The FAA has told NATA that the agency has completed special emphasis inspections for about 60 percent of all Part 135 certificate holders. The agency is conducting these inspections to determine compliance with operational control requirements specified in OpSpec A008. According to NATA, these inspections of all Part 135 operators were originally planned to be completed before the end of last year, but inspector resource issues have delayed the schedule.
