The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in collaboration with NBAA, plans to launch a “proof of concept” security project for FAR Part 91 operators. The voluntary program, scheduled to start late this month at Teterboro Airport, N.J., for based Part 91 operators, is modeled after the NBAA Security Protocol, said the business aviation association. The plan is currently under review by the TSA, and NBAA has proposed its security protocol to be the basis for TSA waiver approvals and other types of operations, which may include TFR access.
