Brazilian manufacturer Embraer has created an Environmental Strategies and Technologies Office, with plans to draft a series of new environmental protection policies. The goal, according to Embraer, is to reduce the environmental impact of its products and production processes. “There is a growing concern, within Embraer, regarding environmental issues,” said president and CEO Frederico Fleury Curado. “The creation of this new office is one more important step toward coordinating efforts for Embraer’s sustainable development, respecting the environment.” The office will be headed by Satoshi Yokota, executive v-p for strategic planning and technology development. Graciliano Campos has been named director for environmental strategies and technologies.
