The Jet Center Aviation Group recently announced it has signed a long-term lease with the airport authority at Jacksonville (Fla.) International Airport and will build a new FBO there. The facility will be the fourth for the small Florida chain, which also has facilities at Hollywood International, Miami International and Daytona Beach International Airports. As mandated by the deal with the airport authority, the newest Jet Center will consist of an executive terminal building, two hangars and a fuel farm on the 36-acre leasehold. Ed Zwirn, COO of the company, said, “We felt confident enough with the marketplace and growth of the community to make the commitment. Jacksonville is one of the fastest-growing business markets in Florida.” Zwirn also said the network is looking for other strategic locations throughout North America to launch FBOs “in the near future.” The Jet center network has also committed resources to developing an effective concierge service for visiting passengers and aircrews.
