Van Nuys-based JetAviva, which bills itself as the “first exclusive” very light jet (VLJ) management company, launched its Eclipse 500 management service this month when it started flight operations for three owners of the small jets. The company–founded last year by former Eclipse Aviation engineers, product specialists and salespeople–offers “services designed to address the unique needs of the VLJ owner.” This includes pre-delivery and acceptance service; cost-offsetting revenue; aircraft trade-in service; maintenance management; pilot service; budgeting and accounting; scheduling and dispatch; and coordination of jet services. According to company president Cyrus Sigari, JetAviva heightens the jet ownership experience “by removing the time-consuming hassles of ownership and reducing the cost.” Since JetAviva began offering its jet acceptance service, the company said it has performed the service on three out of every four Eclipse 500s delivered to private individuals. JetAviva’s VLJ management service is currently available in Southern California and Florida, and the company plans to have nationwide coverage in the next two years.
