Attendance at the 60th NBAA Convention, held this week in Atlanta, as of yesterday afternoon was 31,343 people–a close second to the previous record. However, the number of exhibitors did set a new high, with 1,152 companies showing their business aviation products and services at the Georgia World Congress Center. There were 1,140 exhibitors at last year's show, which was held in Orlando, Fla. The show's static display area is still buzzing with activity at Fulton County Airport, where 115 airplanes are available for attendees to get a first-hand look and feel. If that wasn't enough, more than 100 informational sessions will be held before the convention officially comes to a close this afternoon. NBAA is now the eighth-largest trade show held in the U.S. The convention returns to Orlando in October next year.
