Garmin International (Booth No. 7619) scored a trifecta at NBAA’07, with three aircraft manufacturers– Cessna, Piper and Socata–announcing selection of G1000 avionics suites. Cessna Aircraft announced on Monday that it is adopting the G1000 as standard equipment in the Caravan single-engine turboprop, available in the first half of next year for all Caravan models. New Socata TBM 850s will soon feature a G1000 upgrade, and Piper Aircraft selected the G1000 for its single-engine PiperJet.

In Socata’s TBM 850, the G1000 replaces dual Honeywell EFIS 40 displays and dual Garmin GNS530 nav/com/GPS units with a three-LCD panel featuring a central 15-inch MFD and two 10.4-inch PFDs. The TBM 850 will also be equipped with Garmin’s integrated flight control system, dual RVSM-compliant digital air-data computers and class-B TAWS, and the MFD will display airframe, electrical and fuel system synoptics. Socata has not yet said when the G1000 will be available in the TBM 850.

The PiperJet G1000 system will also have two PFDs and one MFD, Garmin’s integrated flight control system and engine performance data display.
