Three visitors here at the Georgia World Congress Center are wondering whether they’ll be the lucky one to leave with the classic 1959 Chris-Craft Capri Runabout power boat that TAC Air is set to award on tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Booth No. 805.

The finalists, Doug Campbell of Columbia, Ky.; Dave Leuschel of Taylors, S.C.; and Michael Carpenter of Birmingham, Ala., were brought to Atlanta courtesy of the Texarkana, Texas-based aviation services company after their names were selected at random from among those who submitted entries at one of 11 TAC Air FBO locations in the U.S. The annual promotion, this year titled, “You’re the Big Fish at TAC Air,” has featured prizes in previous years that included a 2007 Hummer H3 SUV, a restored 1957 Thunderbird convertible and a vintage 1945 yellow Piper Cub.

This year’s prize, christened “Timeless” and on display at the TAC Air booth, is one of only 12 craft of its model that remain seaworthy out of just 64 built. Valued at more than $45,000, the fully restored 48-year-old watercraft has won numerous awards for restoration and pristine upkeep.
