Fractional share operator Avantair opened its second FBO, in Camarillo, Calif., on August 6. The operator’s first FBO is in Clearwater, Fla. The newly built Camarillo facility, led by general manager Joe Enderle and customer service manager Ginger Goodspeed, offers an alternative to crowded Los Angeles-area airports such as Van Nuys and Santa Monica. The facility includes 54,000 sq ft of hangar space and 11,000 sq ft of office and terminal space, as well as a concierge, pilot center with WSI weather, crew lounge and multimedia-equipped conference room. Avantair also provides maintenance services at Camarillo Airport, which has a 6,013-foot runway and three other FBOs.
