Early figures show that most business aircraft manufacturers reported increased deliveries in the second quarter, with much optimism that the industry is now in a sustained recovery. In fact, Gulfstream parent General Dynamics late last month said the first three weeks of the third quarter have been “super heated,” and the manufacturer’s sales pipeline is “vibrant” and “like we’ve never had before.” Deliveries of turbine business aircraft in the second quarter, with Q203 numbers in parentheses, were: Bombardier 27 (7); Cessna 36 (57); Dassault Falcon Jet 12 (8); Embraer Legacy 3 (3); Gulfstream 20 (19); Piaggio 4 (2); and Socata TBM 700, 5 (5). Figures were not yet available from Airbus (ACJ), Boeing Business Jets, Pilatus, Piper or Raytheon. Full second-quarter delivery stats will be available shortly on GAMA’s Web site (www.gama.aero).
