In the third quarter property development company Castle & Cooke will open a new FBO at Honolulu International Airport, sited on the 3.2-acre former Circle Rainbow property on Lagoon Drive. While the company owns a hangar facility at Van Nuys Airport in California, the Honolulu operation will be its first FBO. Plans for renovation of the existing facilities include 20,000 sq ft of hangar space and 60,000 sq ft of Class A office space, with amenities such as a pilot lounge, showers, flight-planning area and conference rooms. Services will include fuel, maintenance and catering. The FBO will also offer hangar and office space for flight departments and charter operators.
